"Zaher El Bizri is an artist from Lebanon.  He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in the Lebanese University in 2000.  His works depict the social and traditional scene of Lebanon in many materials.  He is a member in the Lebanese Artists Association in Beirut, and has participated to many collective exhibitions in and outside of his country."

"After the shiny youth revolution in the Arab World for Freedom...I draw this painting and dedicated it to all the youth in our Arabic area" - Zaher El Bizri

I understand that freedom means something different to everybody.  This picture caught my eye because it screams for freedom.  It reminds me that sometimes we take for granted the simple things in life while others are struggling for what we take for granted.  He is screaming with all of his heart and soul for freedom from something I may never understand.  I chose this piece because it is very emotional.
